I wasn’t an involved dad for my single 10 year old kid. Sometimes, I took the relationships for granted. When he was 12, I tried to build a relationship with him. He simply wasn’t interested. He had his friends and his school work. It took me weeks to earn his time and his heart. I had to do this or I would’ve lost the relationship.

My 2 questions help me a lot. Nature helps me zoom out. Regular reflection does too. Curious to learn from others on their approach.
